Recently, we’ve been seeing an increasing number of women at our clinics who received breast implants elsewhere and are now looking to remove them.
If you’re thinking about implant removal, we understand it’s often a difficult decision. To give you an insight into the process, here is a letter we received last week from one of our explant patients.
“I first want to thank you both for how easy you have made this for me and how comfortable you both made me feel. Having this procedure was very difficult, it was a hard choice to make, I visited and spoke to other surgeons but the day I met you both it totally reassured me and I had made up my mind that day.
From the moment I woke up you had explained to me I would feel empty and I did. You also explained to me that not even to look at how they looked as this would not be the finished product, and you were so right. The skin felt numb and looked like tissue paper. My chest also seemed to stick out more than my breasts, but by only 3 days they has started to begin to take shape.
Following my two week follow up appointment I began to take photos. I have included 3 as the change was so quick I hardly had chance to document it. I have only just begun to put creams on my skin as I was told to let them rest so the pictures are with no help.
I returned to work after only 3 days and felt great, I actually feel more confident now as I hadn’t realised how they had begun to get me down and how I had learned to live with the discomfort and creases. This has totally restored my faith in cosmetic surgery, so much so I booked again for a different procedure.”
