Surgeon's comment
This patient was an AA cup prior to surgery and a very slim build. She had a Grade 2 inverted nipple on the left side and underwent bilateral breast augmentation in a dual plane (partially under the muscle) technique by plastic surgeon Adrian Richards. The implants used were moderate profile Nagor 300cc.The dual plane approach was chosen because our patient was very slim and had under 3cm of breast tissue coverage in the upper part of her breast, measured 5cm above the nipple. Before surgery her right side is slightly more developed than left, with a more well defined natural breast fold. After surgery, a good correction and a good size and shape bust with improvement in the nipple inversion. The nipples were not treated with an inverted nipple correction, but the increase in volume of the bust has produced eversion of the nipples in this case. Eversion of the inverted nipples does not always occur following breast augmentation, but can be a positive side effect.
