Surgeon's comment
This patient underwent prominent ear correction under local anaesthetic. The patient felt that his ears were slightly prominent and was caused by reduced natural folding in his ear cartilages. Surgery was performed under local anaesthetic and lasted approximately one hour. During surgery his conceal fold was reduced in height and stitches used to recreate the natural fold of the year. The surgery was performed through an incision and scar in the back of the ear which will be very difficult to see when it has faded.
