Surgeon's comment
Before and after pictures following repair of a split earlobe. The procedure takes approximately 20 minutes and is performed under Local Anaesthetic in our specialised clinic. The earlobe is repaired with very fine absorbable stitches which melt away in the weeks following surgery. Because they are absorbable they do not need to be removed. The earlobe can be re-pierced 8 weeks following surgery and this can be performed by one of our specialised nurses.
