These photographs show before and after pictures of a patient who underwent a full tummy tuck procedure. Prior to surgery the patient had a significant overhang of the tissue in the lower abdomen and underwent a tummy tuck procedure combined with liposuction to the hips. A total of 928g of tissue was removed in the tummy tuck and 125cc of fat from either hip region. The photographs shown are 8 weeks following surgery and the scars are slightly reddened at this stage. The scars will be expected to fade to a silvery colour within the next few months. The tummy tuck scar is kept low in the outer portion so that it will be disguised with underwear and swimming costumes.
