‘Ken’ and ’Barbie’ in slanging match
Two of the world’s most altered individuals have clashed in a war of words over the other’s appearance.
Ukranian model and real-life Barbie doll Valeria Lukyanova has responded to barbed comments made last year by American Justin Jedlica, who is often referred to as a human Ken doll.
The model, who sports a minute waist, enlarged breasts and outsized eyes combined with a tiny nose and rose-bud mouth, responded to Jedlica’s comments made in the Huffington Post Weird last year, where he seemed to compare her to a drag act. He told the online news site:
“I do find her beautiful but it appears to me that much of her look is added makeup, fake hair and slimming corsets. Drag queens have put on the same illusions with makeup and costumes for years.”
Whilst Jedlica has appeared on US TV shows discussing the numerous procedures he has had done (90 to date including a chin augmentation, rhinoplasty and pectoral implants) Lukyanova has, by contrast, only admitted to one procedure, a breast augmentation, despite looking far different to her before shots.
The Sun newspaper reported on her apparent retaliation:
“Justin said bad things about me but he had more than 90 operations, while I had only one. I am not hiding that I’ve had plastic surgery. I had breast implants because I want to be perfect. He would do better not to comment on who is plastic and who is not. I think he is a handsome man but he overdid his lips.”
The pair met at a photo shoot in New York last year, where relations were supposed to have been frosty.
