In this video we have a bilateral breast capsulectomy surgery, and we dive straight into the procedure as soon as the video begins. Mr. Richards is performing the operation and has already removed the right implant and capsule. We see the inflatable sizer in the breast inflating to gauge the size to insert. It is already at 250cc, with the goal being 520cc. Mr. Richards tells us that the capsule looks and feels worse on the left as the left breast feels literally rock solid.
We skip the rest of the surgery and see the implants and capsules at the end. The right implant has a slight fold in from within the implant from the capsule. The left has a much deeper fold and is very distorted from the much thicker and tighter capsule. The left capsule appears much thicker to the eye, having complete coverage compared to the other which had more transparency and a few holes within it.
Another thing to notice is the fact that both PIP implants have remained intact, despite the huge amount of tension they were under within the capsule. This is something that is reasonably surprising to us, just because of the high amount of ruptures we see from them at the best of times, never mind squished into capsules this tightly.
