This is a video which shows some inflamed breast tissue following a rupture of a PIP breast implant. As the video begins we see the implant has already been removed by Mr. Richards, and we are aware now it was ruptured, but before the surgery the patient had no idea. The main focus of this video is the inflamed breast tissue, which will be sent off and analysed, but we can guess that the ruptured PIP implant has had something to do with it.
We are shown the implants at the end too, and we can instantly see one is a slightly darker shade of yellow. This side was actually the wrong way round too, with the baseplate facing forwards. It is a very early rupture, and Mr. Richards shows us this by squeezing the implant.
