Lower eyelids, what is the best technique to improve them?
The main problems with lower eyelids that can occur with age are the puffiness or excess skin.
This can occur separately or in some cases they can be combined. The solutions are different if you suffer from puffiness alone. The best option then is often to reduce the fat cushions which cause this. This can be done from inside the eyelid with an operation known as a trans-conjunctival blepharoplasty.
If the main problem is excess skin, it can be treated with a traditional blepharoplasty which involves a small cut on the eyelids to close the skin and reduce its folds and wrinkles in the lower eyelid.
Both these procedures are extremely successful and if you are concerned about your lower eyelids, I advise that you schedule a consultation with a plastic surgeon who specialises in this field.
