Liposuction – how much can be removed?
Generally the maximum amount of fatty tissue that I recommend be removed during liposuction is 5 litres of fatty tissue. This corresponds to approximately 5 kilograms of fat.
The reason I do not recommend removal of more tissue than this is that it can cause disturbances to the fluid balance in the body and serious complications following surgery are more common if more than 5 litres is removed.
However, 5 litres of fatty tissue being removed will make a considerable difference to your overall body shape.
