When is the ideal time to have Botox treatment?
There is a slight misconception that Botox treatment is best performed when you have established lines. This is actually not the best time to have that treatment.
The best time is when the lines are relatively fine and shallow and are beginning to form.
This is because Botox acts by weakening the muscles in the area and preventing lines rather than treating them when they are formed.
Botox therapy every year involving three treatments will reduce even deep lines, however, as your skin heals from the bottom and you can reduce wrinkling for a year. The new skin formed will be unwrinkled.
In essence, Botox is very effective in treating the lines between the eyebrows, lines across the forehead and crows feet region and treatment should be started ideally to the mid to late 30s rather than mid to late 40s.
