This video series features the questions we have received about stretched and split earlobes. Stretched earlobes are increasingly common in today’s society, therefore correction of stretches is also becoming more common.
We get loads of questions from patients, some of which we simply answer, but the most frequent, we like to turn into information videos for you, so we have answers to these questions within our Youtube channel and on our website which is instantly accessible.
With the results of earlobe corrective surgery, they certainly do last if you take care of them. The scar in your earlobe will be the weak point of your ear, so if you decide to pierce your ears again, avoid the scar otherwise it could split. The same goes for stretching, although we actively discourage stretching after corrective surgery as you have less earlobe to work with than before, and a considerable weak point that put under too much strain could very easily tear and leave you needing surgery again.
