In this edition of our nipple reduction FAQ series, we answer whether men can have the surgery.
Absolutely, men can definitely have the surgery. In fact, it is an even split of males and females that come for nipple reduction surgery. We probably get more enquiries from males, as they see it as a cure for gynecomastia, which sadly it isn’t. Gynecomastia is enlarged male breast tissue, which requires a different kind of surgery to nipple reduction. Nipple reduction surgery only reduces the nipples. If you are unsure of the surgery you may require, the best thing to do would be come in for a consultation and talk with one of our specialist plastic surgeons.
