In this video, Mel talks about what PRP therapy actually does.

It contains platelets and they are little powerhouses of growth factors. When you cut yourself it is your platelets that are called into action to repair the wound. Basically the platelets help repair any wounded or damaged skin so in aesthetics what we are doing is repairing damaged skin, with growth factors and a collagen stimulation helping the skin appear more youthful.
