This is the first in our Frequently Asked Questions series relating to Platelet Rich Plasma Therapy, or PRP for short.
PRP Therapy is where your blood is taken and spun in a centrifuge machine for 10 minutes, which separates the blood from the platelets, leaving you with a few millilitres of platelet rich plasma.
The platelets are then injected into areas of skin, on your face, neck, and even on the back of your hands. It is very versatile and is great for rejuvenating the skin. In the media, the slang name for this is the Vampire Facelift which is simply because it is injecting your own blood back into your face essentially.
During this series of videos, our Clinical Manager, Mel Recchia will be answering questions on PRP therapy.
