How can I remove thread veins from my legs?
Question:
Dear Aurora Clinics, could you please tell me how thread veins are removed from the legs? I would also like to know the cost for such treatment and how this procedure is carried out.
Answer:
Thank you very much for your enquiry. There are a number of ways to remove veins from your legs. This normally depends on the calibre and thickness of the veins.
Very small fine veins are known as thread veins and are normally removed by sclerotherapy which consists of small injections into the vein itself. This treatment can often be performed for just a few hundred pounds.
Bigger veins are known as varicose veins and need to be treated before thread veins as they require more extensive treatment.
If the veins are small and look suitable for sclerotherapy, it would be worthwhile scheduling an appointment with one of our specialists. However, we do not perform treatment on larger varicose veins at Aurora Clinics.
If your veins are large, we recommend that you schedule a consultation at the Whitley Clinic in Guildford as they are the country’s leading specialists in the treatment of varicose veins.
Best Wishes,
